High School (Grades 9-12) Flex Program
Flex Scheduling is designed for high school-aged students who are involved in a community program. Currently the school divisions offer afternoon academic blocks designed to accommodate community programs and their training schedules.
Families will have the flexibility to choose five hours per week to pursue their community program and five hours per week to pursue personal fitness/physical education training for academic credit taught by school division teacher. These academic credits will focus on an individualized strength & conditioning program to complement your community activities.
Families can choose a single semester or both semesters to pursue these academic credits.
Core academic requirements will be scheduled using a combination of morning classes at each school, online and/or independent study courses.
Graduation plans will be monitored and reviewed on a regular basis.
Students register independently for their non school related endeavour:
This is done in alignment with the school itself, i.e each school division approves of the third party, as Moose Jaw Public and Catholic (Holy Trinity & Prairie South) have done with us.
Currently students come for a one hour Sport specific block with Golden Ticket staff, followed by an hour block in the classroom at the same location. (Golden Ticket Sports Centre)
Example:
1:00-2:00pm - Flex Basketball Program
2:00-3:00pm - Classroom with Teacher on Curricular Focus (Health Science 20)
All payment for out of school programming is done via the company, so students pay directly to Golden Ticket Sports and the company assumes responsibility of sessions, and their quality, not the school.
Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from our building.
Students have the option to sign up monthly, for 2-4 sessions per week.
