CJBL U20 (Canadian Junior Basketball League)

League

What is CJBL?

CJBL is an opportunity to support young men between the ages of 18-20 in filling the gap between post-secondary basketball, and the conclusion of their high school basketball careers.

We are excited to engage and align with provincial sport organizations, and post-secondary institutions across western Canada to optimize a targeted approach to increasing opportunities for our young men to pursue their passion and student athlete goals.

  • 12 teams across Western Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB)
  • 18-20 year olds
  • high school graduates
  • 5 -7 Tournament Weekends (minimum 3 games each)
  • All Games recorded and Live Streamed
  • League runs September 2022 - March 2023
  • Canada's first-ever U20 Basketball League.

2021-2022 Highlights

  • 5 Athletes moved onto post secondary schools directly from our CJBL Teams. 
  • Teams finished 5/6th respectively 
  • 2 League All Stars 

Golden Ticket Sports will have two teams in the upcoming CJBL: GTS Bridge City (Saskatoon), GTS Queen City (Regina).

Tryouts are open to any athlete under 20 for both Bridge City and Queen City, meaning you can be from anywhere and still tryout for both teams. August 2022 will feature the final round of tryouts. 

Athletes will receive:

  • University/Pro level coaching
  • Minimum two practices a week
  • 15 games in league play
  • Exhibition games as scheduling allows
  • Gear package
  • Opportunity to attend 2 international tournaments

- Talent Identification will happen in Regina & Saskatoon in the mid/late Summer of 2021. Please complete the interest form, and follow us on social media for more details.

Queen City will be partnered with the University of Regina Cougars, which will allow us to offer the most unique experience for any CJBL athletes in the league.
